a good birthday

Miles woke early.  "Hey Mama?  Hey Mama?  Choo-choo book.  Light on.  Up!"  5am?  6am?  It was no matter, he was quickly scooped up and I was left to sleep in.


I came downstairs to...


a perfect cake, from scratch




a special treat




a quiet day, carrot soup with friends, wishes made, and cake eaten too.
