May Giveaway Day Apron

This sweet apron features Joel Dewberry Sparrows from the Aviary collection and two coordinates. I have to say I spent an obscene amount of time on what should have been a pretty easy apron. I now affectionately measure yards of bias binding in "light-yards" (like light-years) which is equivalent to the amount of yards of bias binding it FELT like I made.

Comment below for a chance to win! I'll pick a few of my favorite comments and let my daughter draw the winner. Be sure you input your email address in the comments form so I can notify you.

Love the birds. Maybe a poem will make this one of your favorite comments. My favorite one that brings birds to mind.

Hope

Hope is the thing with feathers
That perches in the soul,
And sings the tune--without the words,
And never stops at all,

And sweetest in the gale is heard;
And sore must be the storm
That could abash the little bird
That kept so many warm.
I've heard it in the chillest land,
And on the strangest sea;
Yet, never, in extremity,
It asked a crumb of me.

BEAUTIFUL apron!!!! I feel you with the light-yards. I once tried a bib with bias-tape. Yes, a simple, stupid bib. Horribly complicated, and horribly ugly. I didn't even make my baby wear it to drool around the house in. I am still scared - I haven't used bias tape since - and I have like 3 quilts to finish with it. sigh...

But back to you! Your apron is LOVELY! The light-yards were worth it!

I measure my sewing in thread spools. I go through a lot of thread in any given project because I rip out over and over again. Beautiful apron and I promise I will understand and appreciate the time and effort you put in to it. Thanks for the chance to own it.

This is an adorable apron. My 4-year old boy is obsessed with birds, so if I won this, wouldn't I be more motivated to COOK for the poor child now and then?

Lovely apron! Some of my favorite fabrics!

I don't know why the "light-fabric" made me say "to infinity and beyond" in my head:)

Oh, I love that Joel Dewberry fabric. Maybe I'd get some baking done if I was wearing such a cute apron!

What a gorgeous apron! I definitely understand projects taking way longer than they should... my seam ripper and I are on a first name basis these days. I am only 5 months into my career as a SAHM and am still finding the domestic goddess in myself... this apron would be perfect to help me along!

This would be perfect for making rhubarb crisps with the rhubarb that's coming out of our garden right now! ...and for canning later on! ...and everything in between! It's my favorite apron in the giveaways so far, birdie prints are beautiful, and I love the fabrics you chose to go with it.

My breath whooshed out from my chest as I exhaled in amazement at the glowingly stupendous beauty that is your apron. Thank you for the opportunity to better my heart, mind, and spirit with your fantastic creation! :)

Ah bias tape...I was in the "bias tape mode" the other day. It becomes obessesive at times once you get started ironing. I am enjoying aprons these days as it brings me right back to the younger years making biscuits with my grandmother. Great memories!

Your apron is lovely and I am admiring the rounded corners...I'll have to try that out with my next bias tape project!

Oh, man! I hate when you go to do a simple task and it ends up taking forever! It's so frustrating! Just last night I tried to comment on a blog, and two-and-a-half hours later I was able to finally comment. I probably should've walked away, but you never can when the task is easy. It's like a challenge, and you wonder what simple piece of the equation am I missing??? So I feel your pain, but I must tell you that the apron turned out beautifully. I would feel gorgeous if I was able to wear that in the kitchen!

Sorry it was frustrating, but thank you for the opportunity to win it!

miles of bias binding,
such a drag you're finding.
But the finished apron is a beauty,
wearing it would be no duty.
In my apron, brown and yummy,
I would be a happy crafty mummy!

I gasped a little when I saw the picture of the apron! I used to waitress, and now I am a first grade teacher. I miss having an apron at work, and have thought about adopting the fashion of just wearing one for the next school year. Having those pockets could help always having scissors or glue or a pencil handy!
Thanks for the chance to win!
