A Box of Joy from Heather Ross

Some time ago, Heather Ross had a Studio Sale.  Essentially, HR had a bunch of stuff, and she offered to unload some of this stuff onto her loyal fans for a very reasonable sum.   I took her up on her offer, for the smallest increment available.  For a mere $25, HR promised a little happiness in a box.  Needless to say, once the crafting community got wind of this offer, HR had so many people signed up that she closed the offer in just a few hours.  I was in the right place at the right time, as they say, and managed to get my email sent off in time.  She asked for a short description so she might match some of the things to our desires.  I asked for some Far Far Away and gave her the ages of my kiddos.  She could only guarantee that she'd try hard to match us up with treats we could use.

A few weeks ago, I had a dream that I got the box in the mail.  It had some horrid burgundy and forest green Christmas fabric in it, white elastic, and something primary-colored with zoo animals on it.  In the dream, I cried.  Okay, I'm ashamed to admit that, but it was a dream!  Out of my control entirely.

The reality was so much better.
Possibly not that exciting to you, but I love these whimsical appliqued socks.  I'll have to figure out something fun to do with them.

Along with the socks were 6 little monkeys traced onto some wool felt.  Great for more applique work or even making a little stuffie.

Next stop, dogs on aqua.  You might recall that I used dogs on orange in Miles's Birthday Bunting.

And then my two favorites, from Far Far Away: lovely unicorns and Princess and the Pea...

And if that wasn't enough, because...really, it would have been - she sent these great Munki Munki monkey pajama bottoms with a white shirt.

Thanks Heather Ross!  You made a mama's day.

What a beautiful box of fabric! Mine is still not here, but I have high hopes for today (and today would be a good day). Can't wait to see what you do with it
