A Favorite Find

Since I'm traveling, I thought I would share this sweet little felt needle book that is making my on-the-go sewing projects so much easier. I found this at an antique store in Hygiene, CO and just had to purchase it for our road trip.

It would be such a cinch to make one for yourself or as a gift. Two thick rectangles of felt blanket-stitched for the cover, and two slightly narrower rectangles of unbleached muslin or similar fabric for the interior - stitched and turned right side out. A satin ribbon holds it together. This one is dressed up with a felt heart on the front and some vintage buttons, but you could keep it simple or even applique some felt initials to personalize it.

This is gorgeous - the vintage buttons are so cute - especially that little green rosey one! Nice job!
